The Butcher's Blade

The story follows Xue Buyi, a low-ranking constable who spends ten years being marginalized due to his naivety and lack of political awareness. His life takes a tragic turn when he is framed as the scapegoat in a disaster relief fund theft case. At his lowest point, Xue Buyi is rescued by his mentor Huang Shining. He reunites with his fellow disciple Li Zhen, hoping to reclaim justice. However, he soon realizes that power runs deeper than he imagined where officials manipulate the law and corruption reigns above all. Forced into serving high-ranking officials as a disposable tool, Xue Buyi must decide whether to remain a loyal enforcer of corruption or rise against the overwhelming forces controlling the world around him.
