Description: Kiyo (Nanako Matsushima) is a female school student in Saga Prefecture, Japan. She admires nurses and wants to be helpful to her nation. Kiyo decides to become a war nurse. She undergoes strict training and finally graduates from nursing school. Kiyo then gets her draft notice and leaves for Manchuria, China. Everyday, she takes care of injured soldiers. A Japanese immigrant in Manchuria, Wataru (Hidetoshi Nishijima), brings two injured people to her. One person is Hikaru (Hidekazu Akai) and the other injured person is a native Chinese person named Son (Yuta Kashikura). Kiyo persuades Army Surgeon Hideyo (Tsurube Shofukutei) to treat Son and he does so in secret. Lieutenant Colonel Kisuke (Satoshi Hashimoto) soon discovers about the treatment.
